Re-Elect · Ward 3 Town Councillor · Milton
Adil Khalqi
“Dedicated To Public Service”

Biography
Meet Your Councillor
Born in Pakistan and raised in Canada since 2000, Adil has called Milton home since 2012. After graduating from Milton District High School and earning dual diplomas in Police Foundations and Advanced Police Studies from Mohawk College, he became a Police Constable with the Brantford Police Service.
In 2022, at just 23, Adil made history as the youngest person ever elected to Milton Town Council. Since then, he’s been a tireless voice for Ward 3 - standing up against overdevelopment, fighting for more parks and green space, and organizing community food drives.
In 2024, Mohawk College honored him with their Alumni of Distinction award. He’s also been nominated for the Police Association of Ontario’s Police Hero Award for community leadership.
Platform
Top Priorities

Safer Roads
Increase pedestrian crossovers, traffic calming, and flashing beacons. Strengthen protections around schools with signage, safer crossings, and enforcement. Make improvements based on collision data and community input.

Quality Facilities & Amenities
Deliver new parks, more recreation space, and amenities to keep pace with growth. Increase program capacity, gym time, and drop-in options for everyone. Expand dedicated youth spaces, programming, and opportunities for young people.

Planned Community Growth
Support transit-oriented development, a mixed range of housing types, and amenity space. Attract businesses, create jobs, and advocate feedback regarding new development. Fight for adequate parking, synchronized traffic lights, and reduced congestion.

Affordability
Balance taxation with affordability and residents' expectation for public services. Work alongside our local MPs and MPP to fight for more grants and funding. Oppose unreasonable increases to municipal user fees.

Service Level Enhancements
Improve day-to-day services, reduce litter, outdoor maintenance, and winter response. Ensure infrastructure maintains a state of good repair and address issues promptly. Expand digital tools so residents can get help quickly and efficiently.
